Alexandria, Egypt, where TAFL is located, is a warm coastal city founded by Alexander the Great in 332 BCE.It was the Egyptian capital for over 1000 years.
Located in the north of the country and with more than five million inhabitants, Alexandria is home to Egypt's main port city, one of the most important on the Mediterranean Sea. The TAFL Center also enjoys its proximity to the Library of Alexandria which witnesses many different cultural events throughout the year, including cultural seminars, art exhibitions, book fairs and concerts, as well as the Center for Marine Archeology and Cultural Heritage Center for Marine Archeology and Cultural Heritage immersed in the Faculty of Arts, which offers training courses for underwater diving in all its types and forms. In addition to the nearby Opera House - Sayed Darwish Theater - as well as the Bayram Tunisian Theater, cinemas, Alexandria University Sports Stadium, and other various events, Alexandria also includes many entertainment venues and commercial centres.
