● The course aims to train new teachers the necessary skills and strategies to teach Arabic as a foreign language.
● The course is led by teachers with a wealth of experience and the necessary qualifications to teach Arabic in depth as a foreign language.
Requirements for the Course:
● Applicants must be university graduates with majors in either Arabic language, phonetics, foreign languages, applied linguistics or related fields.
● Applicants should have native or near-native fluency in Arabic (Superior level in accordance with ACTFL).
What the course includes:
● 68 training hours
● 4 hours a day for 5 days a week
● Evening classes from 4pm to 8pm
Course Objectives:
● Provide an understanding of the ACTFL grading system for Arabic proficiency
● Teach the importance of establishing set curricula
● Explain the necessary strategies for teaching the four language skills (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing)
● Explain how to teach culture
● Provide strategies for teaching pronunciation
● Provide strategies for grammar and acquisition of new vocabulary
● Introduce students to language games to be used in class
● Explain ways of evaluating oral and written work
● Explain how to access spoken skills through OPIs (Oral Proficiency Interviews)
● Teach how to prepare syllabi and weekly lesson plans
● Prepare students for administrative tasks necessary for classes
● Prepare strategies for online teaching and general use of technology for classes
● Prepare students for varying class sizes and especially for small classes (Microteaching)
The course is offered in Spring, Autumn and Summer. Alternative timetables can be made for educational institutions.

Course fees:
500 USD – includes all the necessary teaching and training. This fee also includes the qualification certificate in two languages (English and Arabic).
