She has an MA coursework in Applied linguistics from Phonetics and Linguistics department. Besides being a native speaker of Arabic, she is fluent in English and proficient in Korean and German. She received several training programs in linguistics, teaching and educational technology from prestigious universities and institutions such as TCD Dublin, Erasmus Mundus program and Erasmus+ program. She teaches Arabic phonetics, Arabic language and Egyptian Cinema courses in a few European and Asian programs at TAFL Center, such as Busan, Ningxia, CCIEE, Copenhagen, Cambridge, Science Po, and Oslo University. ×Mohamed Abdel Salam El-Sawy is the Academic Director of the Norwegian University of Oslo Program at the TAFL Center at Alexandria University since September 2021, a member of the Center’s Board of Directors since July 2019, and a lecturer of Arabic Literature at the Department of Arabic Language and Literature at the Faculty of Arts. He is also responsible for the academic profile of the international project Erasmus+ “Towards Excellence in Teaching Foreign Languages” at Alexandria University. He teaches classical Arabic and content-based courses for the various programs at the center (Cambridge, Copenhagen, Aarhus, and Chinese university programs), and he also works as a TOT trainer of the communicative approach strategies in teaching Arabic as a foreign language. He also worked with the American Councils for International Education as Academic Director of the American Flagship Program in Egypt and Morocco from September 2010 to May 2017.

×Nahla El-Senousy is the Academic Director of Copenhagen and Aarhus Universities Arabic Programs at the TAFL Center and is a certified OPI tester and rater by ACTFL. She has been working at the TAFL Center since 2008. She teaches MSA, ECA, Translation, Media, Literature, and Arab Women Issues for university programs hosted by the Center such as Cambridge, Copenhagen, Aarhus, Oslo, Science Po, and Middlebury. She is also a trainer in the TOT “Strategies of the Communicative Approach” program. She taught at the University of Maryland, College Park, and the University of Texas at Austin in the US in addition to the American Arabic Overseas Flagship program in Egypt and Morocco. Ms. El-Senousy worked as an English instructor at the AASTMT, AMIDEAST, and in Kuwait. She spent a year at Daito Bunka University, Japan. Besides teaching, she is an Assessment Specialist, Examiner, and simultaneous interpreter. She is a Ph.D. candidate at the English Language and Literature department, Alexandria University, and holds a master’s degree from the same university. Her focus of research is comparative literature, feminism, post-colonialism, and cultural studies.

She received her bachelor degree from the department of Phonetics and Linguistics at the University of Alexandria. She continued her master’s studies in Applied Linguistics at Alexandria University. Samar has overseas teaching experience as she worked as an Arabic lecturer at the University of Arizona in the USA and the Overseas Arabic Flagship capstone program in Morocco. Besides, She has worked for many prestigious programs like Cambridge University program, Copenhagen University program, Aarhus program and a variety of Asian programs. She also has experience in Curriculum Development as she participated in developing a pronunciation curriculum for the Overseas Arabic Flagship capstone program.

×Yasser is a senior instructor of Arabic at TAFL Center, Alexandria University. He holds a BA and a postgraduate degree in linguistics and translation with straight A’s from the English department, Faculty of Arts. He received multiple training programs from prestigious educational bodies throughout his teaching career, such as the University of Texas at Austin, Trinity College Dublin and ACTFL. Since 2015, he has taught in a plethora of programs; including but not limited to, Asian universities like; Ningxia and Tokyo, American programs, and European programs like; Cambridge, Edinburgh, Science Po, Berlin, Copenhagen, Aarhus and Oslo universities. Besides being a teacher of Arabic as a foreign/second language, he also works as an instructor of English as a second language at AMIDEAST, a translation consultant and an assessment specialist in a few international organizations. He has developed and compiled numerous curricula such as “Translation and subtitling”, “Societal Issues in Egypt” and “Egyptian Colloquial Arabic and Culture.” Moreover, he is the founder of the Arabic Language for Foreigners (ALFF) test. He also published his chapter “Teaching Arabic during the pandemic: the remote online classroom” in 2021.
