Acting Club

Students can learn to act in MSA and ECA to perform in plays and interact with their fellow learners while learning more about culture. This is done in a fun way that further develops language skills and functions.

Cinema Club

The Cinema Club allows students to discover a variety of Arabic movies, gain a lot of information about culture, and enhance their language skills.

Language Partners

One of the best ways to get the courage to speak, regardless of your level of study, is to work with a language partner who can provide a safe and encouraging environment to do just that. Language partners help you practice what you are learning in the classroom and expose you to how native speakers use their own language in the most authentic form.

Students meet with Egyptian colleagues to practice language and engage with the culture off campus. They spend a number of fixed hours weekly to keep up with their progress. Stands meet in person if = in Alexandria, but they also have the option of meeting virtually if studying online. The TAFL Center carefully vets all language partners through personal interviews where they are selected according to specific criteria that guarantee a safe and fruitful experience. We make sure that language partners share similar interests with students to have a fun and holistic experience.
